Our History: The Chinese Porcelain Company
Established in 1984 by Khalil Rizk and Pierre Durand, The Chinese Porcelain Company offers Asian and European works of art and furniture of the finest quality. Our specialties are Chinese ceramics and works of art for the Imperial, Domestic and Export markets, Asian sculpture, including those of Chinese, Tibetan, Indian, Khmer and Vietnamese origin, and French and Continental furniture, ceramics and works of art, 20th century furniture and works of art, and contemporary Chinese paintings.
A distinctive feature of the firm has been the pursuit of excellence and scholarship. Forty-six fully illustrated and researched catalogues have been published since 1985, most of which have been accompanied by special installations at our galleries, The International Asian Art Fair, the Biennale des Antiquitaires in Paris, and The International Art and Antique Dealers Show. Special guest exhibitions have also been held at our galleries, several for the purpose of raising funds for various non-profit organizations affirming the firm’s commitment as an active participant in New York’s cultural and philanthropic life.
